A good movie, though it’s not really a sequel to the original Dirty Dancing. Plot Outline: Takes place in Cuba in 1958. An American girl (Garai) and her parents arrive in Cuba right before the Revolution breaks out. She meets a local boy (Luna) who instantly notices her dancing abilities and romances her.
Her parents expect her to move within their well-to-do circles, but Katey Miller (Romola Garai) defies their wishes when she falls in love with Javier (Diego Luna), a waiter who also happens to be a fantastic dancer. Secretly meeting in a Havana nightclub, the pair practice their dance steps in preparation for a prestigious national dance competition. The dancing is mostly salsa. The actual filming was in Puerto Rico. The average customer review is 4.0/5 stars. This is a pretty good dance movie in spite of the confusing sub-plot of political stuff.
