A great re-make of the Japanese film of the same name. Plot Outline: A romantic comedy where a bored, overworked lawyer, upon first sight of a beautiful instructor, signs up for ballroom dancing lessons. Lots of dancing.
The original Japanese version was a surprise hit, in spite of the fact U.S. viewers had to read the English subtitles. Re-makes are often not appreciated, but not so with this film. Most viewers like both versions. This “Hollywood version” has some dance sequences and some scenes that are superior to those of the Japanese version. As with almost all dance movies, it ends with a big dance competition. Average viewer rating: 4.5/5 stars.
