The Ultimate Ballroom Practice Music Collection – Two-Disc Set

Here it is: all of your ballroom practice music needs in one package! This two-disc set has over two and a half hours of ballroom music. The first disc is a “nonstop dance party” disc that has 27 tracks, which include all of the popular ballroom dances – everything from waltzes and foxtrots to hustle and even the “Beer Barrel Polka.” The nonstop party disc uses standard tempo tracks – every song has a perfect dance tempo. Included are waltz, foxtrot, quickstep, tango, Viennese waltz, polka, rumba, cha cha, bolero, samba, mambo, jive, east coast swing, paso doble, hustle, and Argentine tango. Just put this disc on and let the ballroom party begin! This long-playing disc has 75 minutes of music!

Disc #2 has 49 medium-slow tempo tracks that are suitable for practicing. Twenty of these tracks are “basic beat” music at an easy beginner tempo. The next 29 tracks have a voiceover, where the step timing is called out in time to the music. This allows learning how to count the timing. These tracks are also helpful for practicing. Disc #2 also has tracks for just about every partner dance known to man. These include nightclub two-step, four count swing, the “one step,” salsa, bachata, and triple two step. With a song for every type of social and ballroom dance imaginable, this two-disc set is the ultimate “Swiss Army Knife” tool for all of your partner dancing needs.

Finding practice-tempo music is almost impossible because all of the ballroom music producers use the rather fast "standard" tempos dictated by dance competition rules. Most good teaching studios have variable speed controls on the CD player to allow slowing the tempo for beginners. These special players are expensive and they are hard to find.

Learning to dance is challenging enough without the frustration of scrounging around trying to find music and practicing with tempos that are too fast for beginners.
